<p>Students from Class 2 Edinburgh, Coventry, and Newcastle participated in the Eco Treasure Camp held in Longalo, an outdoor learning program designed to strengthen environmental awareness, collaboration, and character development through direct interaction with nature.</p>



<p>Surrounded by the natural beauty of Longalo, the program began with an opening session and orientation to prepare students for a day of meaningful learning beyond the classroom. Through guided discussions, students were introduced to basic concepts of environmental care, sustainability, and responsible behavior toward nature.</p>

<p>One of the main activities was the Eco Treasure Hunt, where students worked in teams to complete eco themed challenges that encouraged problem solving, cooperation, and critical thinking. Each station invited students to observe their surroundings, answer environmental questions, and practice positive actions such as waste sorting and caring for natural resources.</p>



<p>A meaningful highlight of the Eco Treasure Camp was the tree planting activity. Students actively planted trees as a symbol of their commitment to protecting the environment. This hands on experience helped students understand the importance of trees for life and inspired them to take responsibility for the environment starting from a young age.</p>



<p>In addition, students took part in outbound games, group reflections, and creative eco based activities that promoted confidence, communication, and teamwork. The program concluded with a reflection session and closing ceremony, where students shared their experiences and lessons learned throughout the camp.</p>



<p>The Principal highlighted the value of experiential learning in nature.</p>



<p>“Through the Eco Treasure Camp, our students learn that caring for the environment is a shared responsibility. Activities like tree planting help children understand that small actions can create a meaningful impact for the future,” said the Principal .</p>



<p>The Eco Treasure Camp in Longalo reflects the school’s commitment to holistic education by integrating academic learning, character building, and environmental stewardship in a joyful and engaging way.</p>

<p>SD Laboratorium UNG successfully carried out its routine morning assembly on the school grounds, bringing together all students and on-duty teachers in a structured and meaningful activity. The morning assembly, held under clear skies, is one of the school’s consistent efforts to instill discipline, responsibility, and togetherness among its learners.</p>



<p>During the assembly, students lined up neatly according to their classes while teachers supervised and guided the flow of activities. The routine includes greetings, short briefings, motivational messages, and important announcements for the day. This practice not only helps students start their morning with focus and readiness but also strengthens communication between teachers and learners.</p>



<p>The presence of the on-duty teachers plays a crucial role in ensuring the assembly runs smoothly and orderly. Their guidance reflects the school’s commitment to maintaining discipline and creating a positive atmosphere before learning begins.</p>



<p>SD Laboratorium UNG continues to uphold this tradition as part of its character-building program, ensuring that students develop good habits, respect for rules, and a sense of responsibility and also a sense of belonging of nationality.</p>

<p>As part of its contextual learning program, SD Laboratorium UNG conducted an educational visit to the Bank Indonesia Representative Office (KPw BI) of Gorontalo Province on October 28, 2025. The visit aimed to build students’ understanding of financial literacy and the national economy from an early age.</p>

<p>The event began with a formal opening ceremony. In his inspiring remarks, the Principal of SD Laboratorium UNG stated,</p>



<p>“This visit is a concrete step to prepare a generation that is not only academically intelligent but also financially literate ready to face future economic challenges.”</p>

<p>The opening continued with a symbolic inauguration led by Bank Indonesia officials, followed by the presentation of a Certificate of Appreciation to the school and a group photo session symbolizing the shared commitment to nurturing financially aware young learners.</p>



<p>Exploring Central Banking and Financial Literacy</p>



<p>The main session of the visit featured three educational topics delivered by the Bank Indonesia team.<br>The first topic introduced students to Central Banking and the BI Library, explaining the role and functions of Bank Indonesia as the nation’s central bank and how its literacy facilities support public education.</p>



<p>The second session highlighted “Cinta, Bangga, Paham (Love, Proud, and Understand) Rupiah,” teaching students how to recognize authentic currency, take care of it, and use it wisely fostering a sense of pride in Indonesia’s national currency.</p>

<p>To foster an early appreciation for local culture, SD Laboratorium UNG held a cultural visit titled “Meruang Budaya Desa Wisata Reksonegoro” on Saturday, October 18, 2025. The program took place at Reksonegoro Village, Tibawa District, Gorontalo Regency, and served as an engaging learning experience that combined education, culture, and hands-on exploration.</p>



<p><strong>A Warm Welcome and a Taste of Tradition</strong></p>



<p>The day began with a cheerful welcome as students arrived at the village. Following an opening ceremony and program introduction, representatives from Bank Indonesia delivered a brief educational session on the importance of financial literacy for children.<br>The first highlight of the day was a gastrotourism session featuring Nasi Bulu, one of Gorontalo’s traditional dishes. Students watched the entire process from preparing and seasoning the ingredients, wrapping them in bamboo, to the final cooking over fire experiencing firsthand how tradition and flavor blend in local cuisine.</p>



<p><strong>Discovering Traditional Architecture and Performing Arts</strong></p>



<p>After a break for ISOMA (Rest, Prayer, and Lunch), the students continued their journey by exploring the Jaton (Jawa Tondano) traditional house, a unique heritage building rich in historical and philosophical meaning. This exploration allowed them to see how traditional architecture reflects harmony between cultural values and daily life.</p>



<p>The group then visited Sanggar Esa Genang, where students were introduced to the Hadrah music and dance. Rather than being passive observers, they actively joined in playing traditional instruments and learning simple Hadrah movements making the learning process both joyful and interactive.</p>



<p><strong>Learning by Doing: From Dodol to Reflection</strong></p>



<p>The final segment featured another gastrotourism activity the hands on making and packaging of dodol, a traditional Gorontalo sweet. This activity helped students understand the value of creativity and effort in producing local goods that hold cultural and economic value.<br>Before concluding the visit, students participated in a reflection session, sharing their experiences and insights from the day’s activities.</p>



<p><strong>A Collaboration that Revives Culture</strong></p>



<p>Every part of the program was carefully designed to create meaningful interaction between the students and the local community. The villagers actively showcased their traditions and crafts, while students learned through authentic, collaborative, and enjoyable experiences.</p>

<p>“I am truly delighted with this cultural visit,” said the Principal of SD Laboratorium UNG.<br>“Activities like these provide invaluable experiences for our students not only broadening their knowledge but also deepening their understanding of regional culture, which is gradually fading from memory. <p class="has-text-align-left">Students from SD LAB UNG recently had an educational visit to&nbsp;LOKA Monitor Gorontalo, where they learned more deeply about&nbsp;network systems and frequency technology.<br>During the visit, the students were also introduced to various aspects of digital information and communication technology. The activity aimed to provide hands-on learning experiences that support their understanding of how technology works in everyday life.</p>

<p class="has-text-align-left">The&nbsp;Principal of Labschool UNG&nbsp;expressed appreciation for the program, saying that such visits are always exciting and beneficial.<br>“We always encourage activities like this so our students can learn directly from real experiences and gain broader insights about technology,” he said.</p>



<p class="has-text-align-left">Through this activity, Labschool UNG continues to demonstrate its commitment to providing&nbsp;innovative and experiential learning opportunities, ensuring that students are well-prepared to face the rapid development of technology in the future.</p>

<p class="has-text-align-left">Gorontalo. &#8211; Dalam semangat solidaritas kemanusiaan, siswa-siswi dari berbagai sekolah dasar di Indonesia bersatu untuk memberikan dukungan kepada rakyat Palestina yang sedang menghadapi krisis kemanusiaan. Salah satu bentuk dukungan ini adalah penggalangan dana yang dilakukan oleh para siswa untuk membantu pembangunan fasilitas penting di wilayah Palestina yang terdampak konflik.</p>



<p class="has-text-align-left">Tidak terkecuali di SD Laboratorium UNG, penggalangan dana dilakukan dengan penuh semangat oleh para siswa, guru, dan orang tua. Mereka tidak hanya belajar tentang pentingnya saling tolong-menolong, tetapi juga menerapkan nilai-nilai kemanusiaan secara langsung. Melalui kegiatan ini, para siswa berpartisipasi aktif dengan menyumbangkan infak terbaik mereka </p>



<p class="has-text-align-left">Salah seorang siswa kelas 6, Athif Syawal mengungkapkan rasa bangganya bisa ikut berkontribusi. &#8220;Kami diajarkan di sekolah bahwa kita harus membantu sesama, apalagi yang sedang kesulitan. Walaupun donasi kami tidak besar, kami berharap bisa membantu anak-anak di Palestina untuk mendapatkan fasilitas pendidikan dan kesehatan yang lebih baik,&#8221; ujarnya dengan penuh semangat.</p>



<p class="has-text-align-left">Kegiatan donasi ini tidak hanya bertujuan untuk mengumpulkan dana, tetapi juga mengedukasi siswa mengenai pentingnya rasa empati dan kepedulian global. &#8220;Kami ingin menanamkan sejak dini kepada anak-anak bahwa mereka bisa berperan dalam mendukung sesama, bahkan di tingkat internasional. Ini bukan hanya soal donasi, tetapi soal kepedulian sosial dan tanggung jawab sebagai warga dunia,&#8221; kata H Muh Sahman Rahman M.Ps, kepala sekolah SD Laboratorium UNG</p>



<p class="has-text-align-left">Dana yang terkumpul dari kegiatan ini akan disalurkan melalui lembaga kemanusiaan yang memiliki akses langsung ke wilayah Palestina. Fokus utama dari bantuan ini adalah pembangunan kembali fasilitas pendidikan, kesehatan, dan sarana umum lainnya yang rusak akibat konflik. Para siswa juga turut menyertakan pesan-pesan dukungan untuk anak-anak Palestina, menunjukkan bahwa mereka tidak sendiri dalam perjuangan ini.</p>



<p class="has-text-align-left">Kegiatan semacam ini mendapat apresiasi dari berbagai kalangan, termasuk para orang tua dan masyarakat luas. Mereka berharap inisiatif ini dapat menumbuhkan generasi yang tidak hanya cerdas secara akademis, tetapi juga berjiwa besar dan peduli terhadap sesama.Terlebih lagi kegiatan ini diawali dengan Tausyiah KePalestinaan oleh Syaikh Islam Anwar Yaqoueb yang merupakan penduduk asli Palestina</p>



<p class="has-text-align-left">Melalui kegiatan donasi yang dilaksanakan pada tanggal 17 Maret ini, diharapkan para siswa belajar bahwa sekecil apa pun kontribusi mereka, dapat memberikan dampak positif bagi mereka yang membutuhkan. Bantuan dari sekolah-sekolah dasar di Indonesia ini diharapkan bisa menjadi inspirasi bagi sekolah-sekolah lain untuk ikut berpartisipasi dalam upaya kemanusiaan global, khususnya bagi Palestina.</p>

<p>Gorontalo  (sdlab-ung.sch.id) &#8211;  Ramadhan tinggal hitungan hari dan seuruh umat muslim di dunia mulai bersiap menyambutnya dengan berbagai cara. Indonesia memiliki tradisi perayaan tarhib Ramadhan yang biasanya dilakukan para siswa sekolah.&nbsp; Tarhib Ramadhan adalah cara umat muslim menyambut datangnya bulan suci dengan kesiapan lahir dan batin serta dengan kebahagiaan. Sekolah yang mengadakan tarhib biasanya meminta para siswa untuk membuat umbul-umbul dan poster menyambut Ramadhan.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Seperti pada tahun-tahun sebelumnya, Sekolah Dasar Laboratorium UNG juga merayakannya tahun ini. Mengusung Tema &#8221; HALAL BI HALAL &#8221; menyambut bulan Suci Ramadhan tahun ini, para guru dan siswa berbondong bondong melakukan kegiatan Tarhib mulai dari Pawai Ramadhan, Tausyiah serta Halal BI Halal anatara semua siswa dan bapak ibu guru. Bapak H.Muh. Sahman Rahman M.Pd selaku kepala sekolah mengatakan, diadakannya acara ini agar para siswa bersiap mengisi lebih banyak aktifitas positif yang berniklai kebaikan selama Ramadhan.</p>



<p>&#8220;Tujuan acara ini untuk mengajarkan anak-anak bergembira menyambut buklan suci \ Ramadhan. Sekaligus mengingatkan anak-anak untuk berpuasa dan melakukan lebih banyak kebaikan selama Ramdhan,&#8221; kata Kepala Sekolah SD Laboratorium UNG Rabu (26/2/2025).&nbsp;</p>



<p>Acara ini diikuti oleh seluruh siswa mulai dari kelas 1 hingga kelas 6. Acara ini juga dilaksanakan sejak pukul 07.30 pagi setelah para siswa melakukan apel pagi dan dilanjutkan dengan pawai ramadhan disekitar lokasi sekolah hingga Masjid Al Ghazali Kota Gorontalo sebelum akhirnya kembali lagi ke sekolah untuk bermaaf-maafan antara para guru dan seluruh siswa.</p>
